Now Hiring – Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator

NWIC Inc. is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator to join our fun, fast-paced, growing team to support the finance department with the daily management of accounts receivable functions.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator will provide support and assistance to the Finance department. This role will be responsible for effectively and accurately managing billings and collections and other ad hoc AR related activities. This position is best suited for someone that can work collaboratively in a team environment, has pristine attention to detail and excellent communication & customer service skills.

  • Annual Base Salary – $20 – $23/hr (targeted annual earnings of between $42,500 –
    $47,000/year) to commensurate with experience

Hours of Work:

  • This position will function during our core business hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Generating and sending invoices to customers
  • Reviewing and maintaining accurate recurring billing schedule
  • Timely follow up with new customers including;
    • Review and audit of contact information on file for accuracy
    • Assisting customers with set up of PAP
    • Maintaining payment profiles
  • Maintaining accurate records for all incoming payments & deposits
  • Receiving and handling, in a timely manner, any billing inquires from customers
  • Addressing any billing discrepancies
  • Reviewing AR aging records to ensure compliance with payment terms
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Contacting clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding accounts
  • Managing collection efforts while maintaining and updating customer records
  • Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications & Experience:

Must Have’s:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or diploma/certificate in Accounting or related program/field
  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in Accounts Receivables (billing & collections). High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions is key
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
  • Pristine attention to detail with dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Empathy and patience
  • Must be a team player, able to work in a group or independently
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract & access to own vehicle
  • Able to work on-location in our Beamsville, ON office during the initial training period (after training, possible hybrid workfrom home option available during COVID)

Great to Have’s:

  • Experience, knowledge and general interest in the telecommunications sector
