First and foremost, we wanted to say thank you for your business.

We understand you are planning on moving your internet service to another provider due to their competitive packages and pricing.

But, did you know that this provider will slow down your speeds once you reach your monthly usage?

This term is called ‘rate shaping‘ and ironically, goes against the unlimited internet culture that we’ve grown accustomed to.

  • Their ’25’ plan drops to 10Mbps Down and 2Mbps Up at 350GB of data usage.
  • Their ’50’ plan drops to 20 Mbps Down and 4 up at 350 GB of data usage.
  • Since the COVID-19 pandemic, NWIC customers average 500GB to 1 TB+ of data per month.

This provider advertises ‘unlimited’ plans that are not truly unlimited.

Once you surpass 350GB, your speeds will be hindered, resulting in poor internet experiences:

  • Buffering when streaming.
  • Poor/dropped zoom/video conferencing calls.
  • Challenges working remotely.

Imagine from the 15th to the 30th of every month, your speeds drop off because you binge watched your favorite TV show for a week.

Or perhaps you worked overtime during this timeframe and had to constantly backup your work to the cloud.

Simply put, you should have consistent speeds regardless of usage.
