VoIP FAQ

The following are answers to our most popular questions about using NWIC’s VoIP service.

How do I know when my number has been ported over?

Number porting can take several business days. It’s best to not cancel your existing phone service until the existing line stops working – at that point your number will have successfully ported to the VoIP service. Once this happens, disconnect your VoIP box from power and plug it back in – this will ensure it’s reprogrammed with your number.
