Niagara Wireless Internet Company (NWIC) is one of the fastest growing wireless internet providers in the Niagara Region and is seeking a full-time Network Administrator to join our rapidly growing team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • CCNP certification is required
  • 3 + years of experience working with Cisco Networking Equipment
  • Knowledge of IOS, BGP and ISP business model
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organization, documentation and planning skills
  • Experience in IP address management, DHCP, and VLAN management
  • Proven knowledge of broad spectrum radio and network protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of licensed microwave wireless
  • Point to multi-point wireless experience
  • Experience in OSS/ticketing systems
  • IPS and traffic analysis
  • Knowledge in SNMP and MIB

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain network topology
  • Provision subscriber services and connectivity
  • Consulting with fiber backhaul providers and maintaining network connectivity
  • Maintain architecture documentation
  • Perform signaling and traffic routing
  • Define and implement upgrades to the infrastructure
  • Project planning and reporting
  • Proactive maintenance and security implementation
  • Ability to travel on occasion
  • Extended hours including weekends and non-business hours for maintenance and support
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Troubleshoot with clients offsite and onsite via phone or email
